Staff

Craig joined the staff at Southwest in 2005, and became the senior minister in 2011. He is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College (now Point University) and Emmanuel School of Religion (now Emmanuel Christian Seminary.) Craig, his wife, Melanie, and their children, Carter, Abigail, Lauren, Sawyer, and Leah, live in Newnan.

James has been on staff the longest of any current staff member, having served as a youth minister, worship leader, and now in his current role focusing on pastoral care. He holds a Bachelor of Arts in Christian Ministries from Atlanta Christian College (now Point University) and a Master of Divinity from Emmanuel School of Religion (now Emmanuel Christian Seminary.) He has also completed 4 units of Clinical Pastoral Education. James and his wife, Renee, are grateful for the opportunity to serve our church.

Dee joined the staff at Southwest in 2024. He is a graduate of Atlanta Christian College and brings over 20 years of experience in ministry and as a community coach. Dee, his wife, Kristi, and their children, Evey and John (JD) currently live in Hampton, GA.

Kathy joined the staff of Southwest in 2018 as the Children’s Ministry Assistant and became the Director in 2025. She is a graduate of Mercer University. Kathy, her son, Matthew and daughter, Madelyn reside in Sharpsburg.

Bonnie joined the staff at Southwest in 2023 as our Contemporary Worship Leader and currently serves as our Worship and Community Minister. She has been leading worship vocationally for over 20 years and holds a Bachelor’s Degree in Church Leadership from LaGrange College as well as a Masters of Divinity in Theology from Liberty University. Bonnie lives here in Newnan, GA and is excited to be a part of Southwest’s legacy of worshipping God, serving others, and building community.
