Southwest Christian Church is thankful to partner with Casas por Cristo to offer mission trips to San Raymundo, Guatemala, in Central America, to build houses for families around San Raymundo.  We would love to have you join us as we serve others in another country.  As blessed as the family is that receives the home, you will be blessed as well, and will come home with a greater love for all of God’s children, a greater concern for their hearts for Jesus, and a greater understanding of His creation.  Just speak to some of the past participants of this mission trip and you will understand why so many of them return on this trip again and again!

Typically, a Guatemalan mission trip runs from Saturday-Thursday, and averages around $1200-$1300 per person, which includes your airfare.  House building is Sunday-Tuesday and you may have a fun day on Wednesday.  You will stay in a secure Mission House, with bunk beds and full bathrooms, in the town of San Raymundo.  San Raymundo is located about an hour and a half north of Guatemala City.  Transportation, via school bus, is provided to/from the airport, to work sites, and for the fun day.  Most meals are provided, but you may need spending money for snacks in town and for lunch and souvenirs on your fun day.  Past fun days have included day trips to the Guatemala City Zoo or to the colonial city of Antigua, which is a UNESCO World Heritage site and is surrounded by 3 volcanoes!
