On March 13, SW Students and the College and Career group joined forces to assemble 150 3 ft wooden crosses in about 40 minutes. For their hard work and amazing efficiency, all participants were rewarded with ice cream!
The crosses will be handed out to Southwest families to display in their yards in the weeks leading up to Easter. The SW Kids group packaged cloths which will also be provided to drape over the crosses–first purple, and then black on Good Friday, and finally white on Easter Sunday.
These crosses were handed out after services on March 20 to be taken home and placed in your yard. We hope to see many pictures of the finished product in your yards!
