Southwest Family,

I know we are all concerned with the news we are constantly hearing about the Coronavirus. I wanted to let you know our church staff and leadership are staying up to date, the best we can, with the best hygiene and safety practices per the Centers for Disease Control (CDC).

These practices are being implemented in every area of ministry here at Southwest, and with our cleaning personnel, to keep all people who attend any of our services and programs as safe as possible.

We have always implemented best hygiene practices in preparation and serving of communion, and will continue to do so as well as consider other possible alternatives as we move forward. We do understand if someone is not comfortable taking communion during this time.

If you have any of the symptoms of the Coronavirus, please contact your doctor or medical practitioner immediately for next steps. Please rest and heal at home and do not attend as that may cause the possible spread to others.  If you have traveled to what the CDC refers to as a Level 2 or 3 Country: China, Hong Kong, Iran, Italy, Japan or South Korea – please understand it is best for you to rest at home a couple of weeks before attending so as not to expose others.

For those not able to attend services– we do have our messages available on our web-site:

Please pray for those who:

  • are currently infected
  • are diligently working towards a cure or vaccine
  • serve in the various medical fields in treating and caring for those infected
  • are making critical decisions for the safety and well-being of people

As followers of Jesus Christ, we are called to bring hope and encouragement even in the difficult circumstances of life. We trust that God is in control and is “working for the good” in ways that will make his Holiness, Love and Grace real in people’s lives.

Please know we are available to serve and minister to you and your family and to anyone we can. Please contact us if we can be of service.

Sincerely,

Craig Kingston
